Daniel J. Knight

The WORD-TOGRAPHER is an earthy, intimate debut collection of poetry by Daniel J. Knight, built around the belief that words are seeds: once written, spoken, or shared, they can take root in people, places and communities.

The collection moves through roots, identity, labour, family, love, spirituality, hardship, healing and human connection, often finding profound meaning in ordinary things—the changing seasons, a winter night, ants carrying grain, a donkey walking a road, a mother, a broken family, a worker, a stranger, or a handwritten line on a page.

At its heart, the book is concerned with becoming. It asks what it means to know where we come from while still having the courage to grow beyond what we inherited.
